Assessment of genotype by year interaction for yield components and physiological traits in cotton under drought stress using multivariate analysis and genetic parameters

The objective of this study was to identify genotype high yielding and drought-tolerant, by understanding the interaction GY pattern for yield, yield components physiological traits in 24 cotton genotypes over five years under drought stress conditions using AMMI analysis, genetic parameters multivariate analysis. All assessed were significantly impacted model, with exception chlorophyll b interaction. Meanwhile, seed yield/plant, number open bolls/plant, lint percentage, fruiting branches/plant affected year's factor. High BSH coupled GAM% observed all studied traits, indicating heritability due additive type gene action and, importance these possibility effective selection drought-tolerant development. A statistically significant correlation discovered between most investigated conditions. Direct can be done through based on Pearson's correlations analyses, which will tolerance enhancing yield. results our study's PCA cluster analysis could relevant appropriate studying mechanisms improvement.
